Application Registration and Login
To log into the app, you must create an account with your name and email.
If you have already registered an account, select “login.” Enter your email and password.
The app will remember your information for future logins and take you to the connection page once you open the app.
Forgot Password
If you have forgotten your password, select “forgot password,” enter your email, and we will email you a link to reset it.
Lock Code - Connecting to iVSS for the First Time
Once you have connected to your device via Bluetooth, the app will ask you for a lock code. This feature has been implemented for security to ensure that you are the only person who can connect to the device.
The app will store this information for future logins.
Calibration Setup
Please select your year, model, and preferred cluster output unit. Then, follow the steps in the app to calibrate the unit at 3 different speeds.
Remember that what you see on the phone is GPS speed. You’ll adjust the buttons up and down during calibration to get the display on the gauge cluster to match what you see on the phone.
Reconnecting to iVSS After Initial Setup
Once the initial setup is done, reconnect via Bluetooth, and the app will take you to the main screen. All login and lock code information is saved.
Unit LED Color Changer
You can change the LED color and brightness using the LED Color menu on the iVSS Dashboard. The color and brightness will change with the sliders. Hit continue to go back to the main menu.
When you turn it on, the unit will recognize the last color for a second and then flash to blue while waiting for the app to connect. Once the app is connected, it will return to the last selected color.
User Display Color Changer
You can change the color of the buttons and dials to match your interior with the tab for “UI Display Color.”
iVSS Device Firmware Updater
Updating firmware from version 1.0.48 to 1.0.49 will be the last time the update requires the WiFi method. After upgrading to version 1.0.49, future updates will be conducted over Bluetooth, making the process much easier.
The iVSS unit will get updates and improvements over time. To check for a firmware update to the iVSS control module, select the “Check for updates” tab. To download the firmware update from your phone to the module requires the iVSS to activate it’s internal Wifi network called VSS_SSID. The app will do all of this, but you will need to download the file when prompted and allow the phone to connect to the iVSS network for the download process.
IOS
You’ll need to download the firmware file.
Android
You’ll need to download the firmware file.
Remember the password VSS_PASS (all caps) to connect to the iVSS Wifi network
Recalibration
The first time you log in and connect to the device, the app will take you directly to the calibration screen. Once that initial setup has been completed, you can return to the calibration screen by selecting the “Recalibration” tab.
Update Profile
To update your password select the “Update Profile” tab.
Lock Code Update
If you want to update the lock code, select the “Device Security” tab and press “Update Status.” Enter your previous lock code and then enter the new lock code.
Reset Device to Factory Settings
To move the iVSS module to another user with a different phone, you must first reset the device to erase the previous pairing information. If this is not done, the new user cannot connect to the device.
Select the “Device Security” tab and select “Reset to Factory Defaults.” This process will wipe all user information, including the calibration, LED settings, and lock code. Once this process is complete, you will see the main device connection screen, and the LED will default back to pairing mode with the blue flashing LED.
