Functionality Notes

Haltech does not support all vehicle integration, so some systems like the MFD, Si-Drive, DCCD, etc., may not work as they did before removing the stock cluster and/or ECU.

The stock cluster converts the analog signal from the ECU to CANbus so when the cluster is removed, the tach signal is lost. We address this via the Tach harness that is supplied with iDCCD.

If you have our iDCCD and the Haltech Digital Dash, you will need to connect the analog Blue with Green Stripe Tach wire (included with iDCCD) from the expansion harness, Pin 8, to the iDCCD Expansion Connector, Pin 2.

Installation Overview

  • Plug the adapter into the original harness

  • Plug the adapter into the IC-7 digital dash

  • Run the “CAN” cable to the ECU and plug it into the backport

  • Plug in the Haltech Fuel Level Conditioner into the “FLC” cable

  • Tap in Fuel Level signal to Body Module (BIU)

  • Tap in Handbrake signal to Body Module (BIU)

  • Tap in Illumination signal to Body Module (BIU)

  • Tap in High Beam Signal to BOdy Module (BIU)

Adding Pins in the Expansion Connector

To insert additional Wires, remove the Black lock first, then insert the terminal so it clicks.

image-20240418-182336.png
Use a small pick or screwdriver to push the Black lock back
image-20240418-182420.png
You may need to release it from the top and bottom of the connector

image-20240418-182348.png
When the lock is removed, it will stick out but not come out of the connector all the way
image-20240418-184401.png
Once the lock is moved, insert the terminal and listen for an audible click

image-20240418-184734.png
Wire fully inserted
image-20240418-184802.png
Push the lock back into the housing

Depin a Terminal from the Connector

Follow the steps above to remove lock.

You will need something like our depin tool kit to do this.

image-20240418-184959.png
Use a depin tool to push down the tab to release the wire out of the back of the connector
